fish for Hawaiian Bonefish in the tropical waters of Oahu on foot and via kayak.

Mission: To guide you to spot, hook, catch, and release Bonefish on both fly and light-tackle; provide the finest, expertly-serviced tackle available; make every possible attempt to find the fish and put you in a position conducive to casting and proper hook-setting; coach you throughout the duration of the fight; be there to snap that once-in-a-lifetime photo of you holding a Hawaiian Bonefish before you return him safely back to the water!

ABOUT US…

Aloha! We are a fly fishing and light-tackle guide service based out of Oahu, Hawaii. We specifically target the large, spooky, and powerful Albula glossodonta, or Hawaiian Bonefish. These fish are big, with an AVERAGE weight of 4 pounds. Much larger fish are seen on most trips, including some in the double-digits; hooking and landing one here is an absolute reality.

Bonefish are our first true love, and we have been pursuing them for nearly 25 years. Our journeys have taken us from the Caribbean islands and atolls to the Archipelagos of the Pacific Ocean. Over time we have learned many things about how to consistently find and catch the elusive “fox of the flats,” and we would be humbled to pass along this knowledge to you. Whatever your desire, we can assure you that fishing for Hawaiian Bonefish is the experience of a lifetime!

We welcome the opportunity to earn your trust and deliver the best service on the island.

Mahalo!

GEAR

Bring your own tackle if you have it. For those wishing to fly fish, you'll want an 8 or 9-wt stick with a stiff butt. Reels need to have a STRONG cork disk or sealed drag and at least 200 yards of 20 or 30 lb backing. For the bait fishermen, 15-30 LB braid is the norm. Standard spinning reel drag systems are all sufficient. If you don't have the tackle, see below for what you will be using when you fish with me.

From the time I found your web site until Zack dropped me off today the experience could not have gone any better.

The interaction, and information flow, from start to finish is among the best I have ever experienced after chasing fish on 6 continents. Catching a bonefish was my goal and the efforts from Zack allowed me to catch five on my first ever attempt.

Your actions and commitment show you care about what you do and you strive to give your customer the best possible experience.

Thank you again, and I wish you all the best.
